Advanced Technology

With Battlefield 3 the developer, DICE, introduces the new and improved game engine Frostbite 2 which takes the sensual experiences of an FPS action game to a whole new level. The visual element has much greater texture; the audio more realistic and detailed; and the scale is significantly expanded.
The character animation is significantly enhanced too by the use of ANT technology which had previously been used in Sports game animation. It brings a much more realistic feel to all of the character movement.

System Options

It almost goes without mention that BF3 can be played on a console system or a PC. The balance in your squad will really set the way you play, providing many different combinations that can be played. There are 9 huge maps that will take you ages to explore, and provide infinite experimentation with tactics and weaponry. They are well balanced and each area will suit different tactics. Unlike many other FPS games, teamwork is a high priority in Battlefield 3 and you are not likely to be successful without mastering the practice of teamwork. There were some issues with lag originally, but these have been quickly worked out by DICE.
